Providing safe, trauma-informed services to those living unhoused or unstably housed throughout our community as we work to create sustainable housing options for all.
Offering a robust service model that includes deep partnerships with other local social service providers as a wrap-around team that supports new
opportunities.
Remaining forever anchored in our belief that human connection is the key to all forward progress, and that relationships are built through inclusivity, consistency, and trust.
We believe respect is at the heart of every interaction. We practice it through active listening, inclusivity, open-mindedness, and encouraging self-expression. We work to ensure every person feels seen, valued, and treated with dignity.
Relationships are the foundation for change. We believe in clear communication, meaningful feedback, and healthy boundaries. We are successful when participants trust us with their goals, needs, and hopes.
Compassion means meeting people with care and empathy, no matter their circumstances. We walk alongside participants where they are and work to make sure they feel supported, valued, and understood.
We believe in the strengths and abilities of the people we serve. We support choice, independence, and responsibility while avoiding dependency. We succeed when participants feel confident in making positive decisions for their lives.
Consistency creates safety and trust. We follow clear policies and procedures to ensure fairness and predictability. We succeed when staff, participants, and volunteers understand what to expect from one another.

At Reclaim, we are committed to building a community where equity is not just an ideal, but a daily practice embedded in how we serve, support, and advocate. We recognize that systemic barriers, particularly those rooted in racism, discrimination, and economic inequity, continue to shape who has access to housing, stability, and opportunity. Because of this, we intentionally center fairness, inclusion, and dignity in every interaction, ensuring that all people are seen, heard, and valued regardless of their background or circumstances. Our work is grounded in respect, compassion, and relationship-building, creating a safe and welcoming space where individuals can show up as they are and be supported without judgment. We remain committed to ongoing learning, accountability, and growth, continually examining how we can better address inequities, amplify marginalized voices, and build pathways that lead to lasting, equitable outcomes for our entire community.
Reclaim is a safe space where 2SLGBTQIA+ community members can freely express themselves without fear. It is a space that does not tolerate violence, bullying, or hate speech towards 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
Come as you are.

In November 2012, a group of concerned neighbors led by former North Bend Police Chief Mark Toner came together to address homelessness in the Snoqualmie Valley by opening the community’s first emergency shelter. Just 42 days after the first public meeting, the shelter opened on December 23, 2012, serving men, women, and families experiencing homelessness during the coldest winter months.
As community needs grew, the organization expanded and formally became Snoqualmie Valley Shelter Services (SVSS) in 2017. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we noticed an increase in needs for supportive shelter and evolved from seasonal shelter operations to a year-round, 24/7 shelter model focused on safety, stability, and housing support.
In 2024, following the purchase of our building and our rebrand to Reclaim, we launched The Front Door community service center as our primary pathway to stability. The Front Door was intentionally designed as a welcoming, dignified access point, replacing fragmented entryways with a single, visible front entrance. It reflects our belief that everyone deserves to be met with dignity from the very first step.
At The Front Door, individuals and families can access essential services including food, clothing, hygiene supplies, transportation assistance, case management, laundry support, and computer and Wi-Fi access.
