Our values help to remind us about what is truly important in our interactions with each other, our clients, and the wider community. We reflect on these values when making decisions and building out programs to meet the needs of those experiencing homelessness in our area.

- We believe respect is given through active listening, courtesy, remaining open-minded, being inclusive, and encouraging self-expression.
- We work to have the participants feel respected in how we interact with them in every situation.
- We succeed when all participants feel valued and are seen as individuals who have worth and meaning in the shelter and in our community.

Reclaim is a safe space where 2SLGBTQIA+ community members can freely express themselves without fear. It is a space that does not tolerate violence, bullying, or hate speech towards 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

In November of 2012, a group of concerned neighbors came together
to discuss opening the community’s
first-ever emergency shelter in North Bend. The person leading the charge was then Police Chief, Mark Toner.
It was his vision, dedication and compassion that planted the
seed for all that was to come.

On December 23, 2012, just 42 days
after our first public meeting, we
opened our shelter to men, women and families experiencing homelessness
in the Snoqualmie Valley.

Here at Reclaim, we aren't just a team...we are a family who work side-by-side every day to assist others in recovering from homelessness and poverty. What you may not know is that the majority of our staffing team has lived experience, allowing us to better serve those who are still struggling.
