Mike Svarthumle joined Reclaim’s team 5 years ago. Mike is an essential part of our team, providing support and assistance to those experiencing homelessness in our community. 

Mike’s journey to Reclaim began as a recipient of our services during a challenging time when he himself was experiencing homelessness and struggling with addiction. Mike worked hard to get back on track and was inspired by the kindness and support provided to him by our staffing team. His experience as a client lead him to join our team in 2019.

With firsthand experience of the struggles and hardships faced by individuals experiencing homelessness, Mike brings a unique perspective and deep empathy to his role as Program Assistant. Mike supports our Shelter to Home clients and plays a vital role in helping others rebuild their lives and find hope for a brighter future. 

In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending quality time with my fiancé, their twin boys, and his bonus son.
