Don has lived in the greater Seattle metropolitan area for 30 years and moved to Snoqualmie in 2014. Don works as an attorney for a firm based in downtown Seattle, where he helps business and individuals resolve complex legal disputes. A believer in the power and responsibility of lawyers to make the community a better place, Don has contributed through board service (including on the boards of the Children’s Alliance and the King County Bar Association), and through pro bono legal representation of those who lack meaningful access to justice. With other lawyers, he served as counsel in litigation that led to a Washington Supreme Court ruling establishing the constitutional right of foster children in Washington to a safe and stable home. He also represented a class in successful litigation to secure the constitutional right to effective legal representation for those accused of crimes, and helped a number of refugees obtain asylum, immigrate to the United States, and pursue their dreams of citizenship here.
Don is proud to lend his efforts and support to the important and meaningful work of our agency's dedicated staff and volunteers. When he is not spending time enjoying the company of his two kids and honing his ability to tell the best (worst?) dad jokes, Don likes to try his hand at hiking, cooking, and pretending he knows the finer points of wine.
