Chris immigrated from England in 1976 after earning BS and PhD degrees in Engineering from the University of Nottingham. He taught for three years as a Professor at Virginia Tech before moving to Denver then Redmond in 1983 working as a Civil/Mining/Geotechnical Engineer on mining, tunneling, and blasting projects. He started companies in Germany in 1990, in Redmond (1991), in the UK (1992) and in Israel in 2014. The US company moved to North Bend in 2000 and the family to Ernie’s Grove where he resides with Trish, his wife for 37 years. His family has supported Seattle and Snoqualmie Valley shelter programs and has been involved with homeless programs in the US and Israel for many years. Chris' knowledge of all-things-construction has been invaluable to our Capital Planning Committee.
