Jan is an East Coast transplant whose husband, Rich, was transferred to the Pacific NW while in the Coast Guard. They fell in love with the beauty of the area and vowed to return. Jan and Rich have lived in North Bend for the last 19 years and enjoy sharing it with their two grown daughters and their spouses/partners, two wonderful grandkids and three adorable granddogs!  Jan retired from teaching in 2016 with her Masters in Education and 21 years as an educator. The last 13 years were here in Snoqualmie Valley, working at Snoqualmie ES, and then at the District level, where she gained leadership skills, organized and coordinated program services and trained teachers and parents.  Jan's passion for giving back to the community has steered her towards active involvement in many local organizations such as The Food Bank, Senior Center and Thrift Shop, organizing neighborhood meals for the Winter Shelter and in holiday efforts for those who are homeless. She now serves as a Board Member on 3 nonprofits. Jan is enthusiastic about her commitment to our agency and delving deeper into our mission to help those in need.  

Jan also serves as our amazing (and invaluable) Volunteer Meal Coordinator!
